On the sides of the well is an inscription in Latin VARIANTIBVS FLOSCVLIS DIVERSIL COLORES FABRICA SVB REVIVI GENTIS SOLIS HVIVS RADIIS EXVLTANTIS IN FRANKENTAAL*\u2019 in letters of unequal size in gold between gold bands. On the rim there are thirty raditaing panels outlined in gold painted with a floral spray of a rose and tulip, numbered 1-4, 1-8 , a and b 1a-1d and 2a, 2b 3 and 4. Sprays 1-4 are black, 1-8, a and b puce-purple, 1a \u2013 1d and 2a, 2b 3 and 4, iron red.
